The Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture (LIA) is a state research institution, whose main mission is to carry out research in the field of agronomy, biology, agro-ecology and other multidisciplinary-related areas, and plant breeding. The activities also encompass experimental development and dissemination in agricultural sector. Besides its head-office in Dotnuva, LIA is composed of 2 branches, 6 experimental stations and the Agrochemical Research Centre, located in the most representative soil and climate regions of Lithuania.
