Climate change is now recognized as a major threat facing future generations this century. Increasing energy demand in large parts of the world, at present covered by fossil fuels, adds another serious challenge.
Our only feasible response is a swift transition to low emission societies, based on renewable energy sources, increased energy efficiency and CCS. Thus, development and massive world wide deployment of new, green energy technologies, through innovation, commercialization and green businesses, are keys to a cleaner energy supply.
The North European Renewable Energy Convention (NEREC) will be arranged for the third time in September 2010. NEREC is an annual event, with a special focus on the relationship between cutting edge technology, research, finance and commercialisation. NEREC provides a joint exhibition and conference and is a unique opportunity to meet leading Northern European renewable energy technology developers, supplier industries and financing institutions at the same forum.
