The project management is coordinated by the Swedish Energy Agency and will be run in five different work packages. It is funded from three different sources.

Project Management

The project management is coordinated by the Swedish Energy Agency (STEM) and will be run in five different work packages. Each work package is under the responsibility of a single partner who is referred to as the Work Package Leader. He/she organises the suitable contacts between the partners and is in charge of producing the deliverables, defined in each work package. The work package leader reports to the project co-ordinator. The WP leader is a member of the "Project Steering Committee".

 

The Steering Committee

The major tasks of the Steering Group shall be:

  • Overall responsible for the project, guarantees its continuity and consistency and adequate allocation of its resources. 
  • Mentors and monitors the progress of the project on the strategic level from its start-up phase to its completion. 
  • Approval of reports and deliverables 
  • Defines and handles the involvement of additional partners in line with the over-all project plan and when certain needs arise. 
  • If necessary adjusts the content and direction of the project. 
  • Handles any conflict resolution within the project which could not be handled at a lower level. 
  • Handles any contractual and financial matters

 

Programme and Funding

The Bioenergy Promotion Project is a part of The European Union's Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 and are funded from three different sources as displayed in the tabell below.

The European Union´s Baltic Sea Region Programme

The European Union's Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 promotes regional development through transnational cooperation. Eleven countries around the Baltic Sea work together to find joint solutions to common problems. The programme is a part of Interreg which is a Community initiative which aims to stimulate interregional cooperation in the European Union. It started in 1989, and is financed under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Programme co-finances projects in fields of:

Priority 3: Baltic Sea as a common resource
