As the EU Directive 2009/28/EC requires EU Member States to adopt national Renewable Energy Action Plans (REAPs), this workshop will focus on policy options to support sustainable bioenergy production and use in the framework of the REAPs. |

The workshop addresses decision-makers representing national governments and
governmental authorities from the Baltic Sea Region and Central Europe, in particular
those involved in the elaboration of REAPs and working on sustainability issues. It will
provide a platform for an in-depth exchange of opinion and good practices from 15
different countries.
The EU-projects “Bioenergy Promotion” and “4Biomass” aim to promote the sustainable
production, mobilisation and use of biomass in the Baltic Sea Region and Central Europe.
