As we are approaching the half way point of the project period a number of deliverables have already been achieved. Hopefully the excellent progress will continue through out the project. Some of the most important document this far are:
The final report on Task 4.2 - Regional bioenergy potential -, provided by the Chamber of Agriculture Lower Saxony, Germany, is now available.
The objective of WP 3 Policy within the project Bioenergy Promotion is to promote a sustainable production and use of biomass for energy purposes. As a part of WP 3, task 3.1 have been working on the development and formulation of principles and criteria for a sustainable production of bioenergy.
In the poster session on the 12 th of March countries from the participating programmes were presented with posters about their strategies in implementation of the sustainability criteria of Renewable Energy Directive.

By means of resources from Baltic 21 the initial Bioenergy Promotion project partners from Russia has now published a report on the bioenergy situation in the north west part of Russia.
